Let’s get one thing out of the way: no app will replace your paycheck. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling a course. But there is a small corner of the internet where you can earn a few dollars a month with almost zero effort, and a second corner where a bit of effort earns a bit more. Both are free to join, and both are worth knowing about.
We split the five platforms below into two groups, because they work very differently.
Group 1: Apps that work while you do other things
These apps pay you for sharing a small part of your unused internet connection. You install them, log in, and leave them running. Businesses use that bandwidth for things like price checking and market research, and the apps pay you a share.
Honeygain is the best known of the bunch. It runs on Windows, Mac and Android, and there is nothing to do after setup. The catch is the $20 minimum payout (PayPal or crypto), and depending on your country and connection, getting there can take from several weeks to a few months. Think of it as a slow savings jar. Join Honeygain
Pawns.app does the same internet sharing, with one big advantage: the minimum payout is only $5, so you see real money much sooner. It also has surveys and small tasks if you want to speed things up, and you can cash out by PayPal, Bitcoin or gift cards. It requires you to be 18 or older, and only one device per IP address can earn. Join Pawns.app
EarnApp works the same way and is a good one to run alongside the others, since each app has its own demand depending on where you live. It runs quietly in the background on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android, and it has a low payout threshold. Check the current minimum on your dashboard, since it can change. Join EarnApp
Group 2: Sites where you do small tasks for more money
If you don’t mind spending a few minutes a day, these pay better than leaving an app running.
TimeBucks is a rewards site where you earn from surveys, videos, games, app offers and small online tasks. It works worldwide, the minimum payout is low, and it’s a good first stop if you want to see how task sites work. Some tasks pay very little and surveys can disqualify you, so don’t expect every attempt to pay. Join TimeBucks
Cointiply pays in crypto (Bitcoin and other coins) for surveys, offers, ads, games and a faucet you can claim from regularly. You need a crypto wallet to withdraw, and the minimum is low. It’s a good fit if you are curious about crypto and want to earn some without buying any. Join Cointiply
Quick comparison
| Platform | How you earn | Effort | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honeygain | Sharing internet | Almost none | Slow, steady background income |
| Pawns.app | Sharing internet + surveys | Low | Getting to a first payout fast |
| EarnApp | Sharing internet | Almost none | Stacking with other apps |
| TimeBucks | Surveys, videos, tasks | Medium | Beginners who want variety |
| Cointiply | Tasks, faucet, offers | Medium | Earning crypto for free |
Before you install anything
Sharing your connection means other people’s traffic passes through your IP address. These companies say it’s done securely, but you should still read the privacy policy, only use them on your own network, and avoid installing them on devices you use for banking or work. Most of these platforms also require you to be 18 or older, so check the terms of each one. And never pay to join any of them, because the legit ones are free.
Also be realistic about the numbers. Honeygain, for example, pays around $1 per 10 GB shared, and the apps in group 1 usually add up to a few dollars a month per device. The task sites can earn more, but only if you put time in.
Which one should you start with?
If you want the simplest thing, install Pawns.app first, since the $5 minimum gets you a real payout fastest. Add Honeygain and EarnApp next if you have a spare computer or a stable connection. If you also want to earn with a bit of effort, add TimeBucks for variety or Cointiply if crypto interests you.
Start with one, watch your earnings for two weeks, and only then decide whether to add more. That way you’ll know what’s actually worth your time.
